Ross has been in practice for 10 years.
Experience
Ross acts for a wide variety of clients including private and public corporations, incorporated associations and schools. Ross has extensive experience in all aspects of property law with particular emphasis on residential, commercial and industrial acquisitions and sales, strata subdivisions and developments, as well as commercial leasing including both retail and non-retail. Ross also has experience in franchising, business sales and acquisitions and liquor licensing.
The following are some of Ross’s representative matters highlighting his experience in the commercial property industry:

Acted for developers on strata development and management, building redevelopment and refurbishment, including the drafting of strata management statements and by-laws.

Acted for property owners on commercial sale and acquisition transactions from inception to completion including major multi-story office buildings and factories.

Conducted due diligence reviews on various acquisitions of commercial and industrial land sites including contaminated sites requiring remediation.

Acted for landlords and tenants on all manner of leasing including licences, sub-leases, agreement for lease, assignments, surrenders and fitout agreements in relation to commercial, industrial and retail premises and shopping centres.

Acted for a large publicly listed company on the acquisition of quarrying and concreting businesses and assets in New South Wales and South Australia including quarrying rights, mining leases, collateral leases and licences, transfer of water licences, including undertaking property and business due diligence.

Acted for a Franchisor in setting up a franchise system for long-term stay apartment accommodation.
