Michael is an experienced commercial lawyer with over 15 years' experience.

Michael sees commitment to his clients' welfare and an understanding of their business as the keys which enable him to propose and implement innovative solutions that meet the clients' real needs.

Michael acts for major commercial, insurance, construction, telecommunications and international trading corporations, as well as a wide variety of smaller enterprises.
 
He has an comprehensive range of commercial litigation experience, appearing in all State and Federal Courts up to and including the High Court of Australia.  In particular, Michael has extensive experience in the management of large and complex commercial litigation.  This has included dispute resolution in such diverse areas as directors defending guarantee claims, employer organisations facing anti‑trust suits, complex contractual and indemnity disputes, executives and corporations engaged in employment disputes, and trade practices issues.

Michael also has commercial transactional and advice experience across a broad range of areas, including commercial and mercantile contracts (including tenders), marine cargo contracts and insurance, commercial insurance, employment law and service contracts, trade practices and consumer law, advice and compliance, corporate governance and compliance (including directors duties), software licensing and computer hosting agreements, distribution, licensing and representation agreements, and insolvency and recoveries.

He is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, The Commercial Law Association of Australia, the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian British Chamber of Commerce, the Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
