Emma’s expertise includes psychiatric claims on behalf of Commonwealth employers, insurers and Government agencies and in particular those involving Reasonable Administrative Action defences.

Having almost 12 years’ experience in the Commonwealth Compensation arena, Emma joined Curwoods in 2012 from Sparke Helmore.

She has extensive experience in dealing with the entire spectrum of claims governed by the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (1988), in particular in the assessment of normal weekly earnings, incapacity provisions and rehabilitation. 

Emma regularly appears before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and in the Federal Court of Australia.
