Kate specialises in insurance claims resolution with an emphasis on claims in the area of public risk insurance and damage from defective products.

Kate commenced at Curwoods in 1999.  For most of the past decade, she has worked almost exclusively advising on catastrophic claims litigation and resolution in public risk insurance, damage from defective products, property damage, general insurance law and policy interpretation.

Kate's wide variety of clients has meant she has handled claims in many jurisdictions including the Federal Court, Supreme Court, District Court and Local Court.  Irrespective of the jurisdiction, Kate's focus is on reaching the quickest and most effective outcome in each case.

She is the Vice-President of the NSW Women Lawyers Association and a member of the Education Committee of the Australian Insurance Law Association (AILA).
