Workplace Insurance

Natalie's extensive experience includes providing advice and acting in litigated claims for Commonwealth instrumentalities and bodies and large corporations, as well as insurance companies. She also works on Commonwealth seafarers' matters.

Natalie FisherNatalie leads Curwoods Commonwealth Workplace Insurance practice. For over 15 years, Natalie has concentrated solely on representing employers and insurers under Commonwealth schemes.

In addition to acting for employers and insurers in litigated claims in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Natalie provides extensive advice in relation to difficult non-litigated claims and strategic reviews of non-litigated claims.  She has the distinction of being the sole solicitor in Australia nominated to undertake BHP Billiton’s seafarers’ matters – a highly specialised niche within Commonwealth Workplace Insurance.  Natalie presents seminars and training relating to recent amendments to legislation and the effects of recent case law.

She is a member of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia, the Federal Litigation Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Australian Insurance Law Association and the Association for Women In Insurance.
