Matthew specialises in the areas of public risk insurance, damage from defective products and professional negligence.

Matthew heads the firm's public risk insurance team. He has been providing legal services to the insurance industry since 1994. He joined Curwoods in March 2009 from another law firm at which he had been a Partner for 8 years. He acts on behalf of general insurers, employers, self-insured entities, underwriting agencies and government agencies. 

Matthew has been instrumental in progressing the firm's alternative pricing strategies and leads the firm's Value Pricing Committee.

He is a Member of the Australian Insurance Law Association.
