Motor Vehicle Insurance

Ian specialises in major and catastrophic motor vehicle insurance claims for major insurers.

Ian provides advice on all aspects of motor vehicle disputes, including major/catastrophic claims, indemnity disputes and actions against third parties, including recovery actions between insurers. 

Within the motor vehicle insurance division, Ian's main area of practice is representing and advising motor vehicle insurers in complex claim disputes. He has expertise in the assessment of damages and identifying strategies early for the effective management of major claims. He also has extensive experience in appearing before the Supreme Court of the ACT where he has successfully represented clients since 2005 in major and catastrophic claims.

Ian often presents seminars on legislative changes and developing areas of the law affecting his client insurers.
