Curwoods is Kyra Henley’s series of portraits and still lives, painted from a window office high in Australia Square. Kyra occupied the office during her year-long stint as Artist-in-Residence at Curwoods Lawyers, a program for emerging artists.
Kyra has won the Sydney Art Cooperative Studio Prize, the Murrey Sime Award for Painting, the Waverley Art Prize for Oil Painting, and ranked as a finalist in numerous prizes—among them the prestigious Portia Geach, the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award, the Lloyd Rees Youth Award, the Mosman Prize and the Hazelhurst Prize for Works on Paper.
Her work has appeared in the pages of Vogue Living, and is frequently a fixture of group shows at Sydney galleries, such as Robin Gibson Gallery, Mary Place Gallery, Art Sydney, Virginia Wilson Art, ½ Doz, and Ivan Dougherty Gallery.
