Joel Dickens moved to Australia from England in 2003 and now lives and works in Sydney. Inspired by children's drawings, graffiti and outsider art, Joel's large-scale works are vibrant bold and spontaneous. Referencing pop-culture, folklore, philosophy and mythology, Joel's paintings challenge the viewer to contemplate a wide range of topics such as corporate culture, politics, consumerism and the human condition. Joel holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and his work is held in private collections nationally and internationally. He is represented by Arthouse Gallery, Sydney and Branco Gallerie, Buenos Aires.
