We’re extremely excited about our new website - the complete revamp is because we are determined to put our words into action. You see, when we say we are a law firm with a different perspective, we mean it.
Our contributors span across the areas of specialty. Considering the vast range of experience and knowledge, we hope that we can enlighten you, update you and perhaps, on occasions, amuse you.
We invite you, our valued clients, to join us as well. The Curwoods blog isn’t a one way street, it’s a forum where clients can interact with us on a more personal level.

I'm pleased to report that we've had our first innovative success in our Innovation Hours project. Gisele, who in her daytime job is our Precedents Technician, has been exploring whether we could re-engineer the way we train our staff by using narrated videos.
In late 2011 the Government commenced the process of "improving the availability and transparency of flood insurance". This process is well underway and, in some respects, highly contentious.
Session 2 of our Innovation Hours Project got underway last Friday and this week it was our Database guy Jamil who didn't get any real opportunity to work on his project, due to an urgent report for a client. Otherwise, everyone has made solid progress on their mini-projects and my team are still excited about this experiment.
The first session of our Innovation Hours project happened on Friday last week and overall it was a great success. For our Helpdesk guy Ryan, it didn't go so well because he was attending to urgent user issues for nearly the entire time. The remaining members of the team got some good work done though, creating some new neurone connection paths and stretching their talents a little. It's going to be a few weeks before we will start seeing any results from this project but I feel we've made a positive start. My measure for that was that there was a real buzz around our office both a couple of hours before and during the project time.
